The participants will learn the theory of electron paramagnetic resonance
spectroscopy in an interactive seminar. The setup of the EPR machine and
how it works will be explained. Spectra of samples will be recorded under
various conditions followed by an interpretation. EPR spectra will be
simulated on a PC to get an impression on the way individual absorptions
contribute to the spectra. Finally, 'real-life' EPR spectra of known
samples have to be simulated in order to extract the spectral parameters.
